- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Line an 8 × 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper
- Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter in a saucepan or microwave
- Cool slightly and pour into a mixing bowl
- Stir in 1 cup flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp baking powder, ground almonds, and cinnamon
- Add 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Mix on medium speed until smooth and glossy
- Pour batter into prepared pan
- Bake for 25 minutes until golden and set
- Cool completely, then cut into 16 bars
