  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 ¾ cups (200g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a metal bowl over a water bath until smooth
  2. Whisk in brown sugar until fully incorporated
  3. Mix in vanilla paste, eggs, and salt until fully emulsified
  4. Gradually blend in flour and cornstarch until just combined
  5. Scrape batter into a greased 8x8-inch pan
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 23–27 minutes
  7. Cool completely before slicing into 16 pieces
