Ingredients
  

  • Packaged gelatin mix (flavor of choice) - 2 boxes (3 oz each)
  • Whipped Topping - 1 can (8 oz)
  • Cold Water - 3 cups
  • Optional: Fruit (sliced kiwi, cherries, or berries) - 1/2 cup

Method
 

  1. Boil 1 cup water as per gelatin package instructions. Add sugar from the mix and stir until dissolved.
  2. Add 2 cups cold water to the gelatin mixture and pour half into a 9-inch springform pan or glass bowl. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Spoon a layer of whipped topping over the set gelatin and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  4. Mix the second gelatin batch and pour over the whipped topping. Gently press to settle, then chill for 1 hour until fully set.
  5. Top with optional fruit slices or a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.
